QUAKERTOWN, Pa. (AP) ? Mitt Romney has changed the route of his campaign bus tour through Pennsylvania after Democrats planned to show up and challenge him at one stop.
Romney intended to visit a gas station and convenience store in Quakertown, which is about 50 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
Romney's team had set up a microphone for him to speak at the Wawa story. But they caught wind that former Democratic Gov. Ed Rendell would be at the site to hold a competing event.
Romney's motorcade, including his bus, decided to stop at a different Wawa in Quakertown. Inside the second store, Romney told reporters that Rendell's planned appearance sparked the schedule change.
