Ushering in a New?Oblivion

Before?Elder Scrolls,?There Was?Elderer Scrolls

Just under half a year to go before Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?turns devoted family men?and dedicated students into mush-brained, blubbering fools through the power of sheer adulation, and already Bethesda is hoping to pump up its fanbase and give it one last inflating push. If you?ve misplaced your copy of Oblivion, or just never owned one, you have one more chance to remedy that situation: 200,000 copies of the Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition are being produced for 360, PS3, and PC.

This special edition of the fourth volume in the Elder Scrolls franchise is the Game of the Year edition of the game, which includes the Shivering Isles and the Knights of the Nine?expansions, as well as some new content not previously included in the GOTY edition: a making of DVD, a collectible map, and a $10?off coupon?for Skyrim. Any parties interested in jumping into the series ? and already committed to spending the dough ? may do well to pick up a copy, as this seems like a bargain.

That reminds me ? I need to dig out my own (unplayed) GOTY game, and get down-n-dirty?

Share Your Thoughts: Is it worth the price of admission to revisit Oblivion for the extras alone, or is this just a cheap cash-in?
