College student stabbed in Savar

Police identified the victim as Sohel Rana, 17, a student of Cantonment Public School & College?s Business Studies department.

Savar police SP Rasel Sheikh told bdnews24.com Rana was going to college on a Hanif Enterprise bus.

?As the bus neared Ashulia?s Chakrabarty locality, a youth boarded it and fled after stabbing him,? he said.

Fellow passengers rushed Rana to the Savar?s Enam Medical College in critical condition where doctors declared him dead.

The police officer suspect past rivalry as responsible for the murder.

Rana, son of Ansar Ali, hailed from Zirani?s Tenguri.

SP Sheikh said they were probing the incident. He said the dead body had been taken to Ashulia Police Station.
